Just found [info]mirrormaskicons and am nabbing them by the handful, because if ever there was a movie that was meant to be made into loads of pretty icons--

*deep breath*

And most of them are of Valentine, because I am hopelessly shallow and FUCK YES JASON BARRY.

Still need one of the orbiting giants, though-- I know there was a shot where you could clearly see both of them just barely holding on, and I haven't yet found an icon of it. If anyone knows, please to share?

EDIT: Okay, apparently I will have to icon this movie myself at some point, because I can't find that one of the giants. Or the juggling scene at the Dark Palace. And there especially needs to be one that says "I'm a very important man! I have a tower!"

I still feel like there's something seriously wrong with this fic somewhere, but no one else seems to agree, so I'm giving up and posting it.
My life dream, or the closest to one that I have, is to 'Shop this story into a comic. Hey, it could happen.

Title: The War at Home
Author: [info]custardpringle
Fandom/Pairing: Battlestar Galactica- Kara/Leoben
Spoilers: for "Occupation" through "Exodus pt.2," and vaguely for "Unfinished Business" and "Rapture."
Length: around 1000 words, but it felt bigger coming out.
Rating: PG-13
Notes: Written for [info]onebedficathon, although I'm not sure it actually follows the challenge guidelines. Sigh. Thanks to [info]the_antichris, [info]shoemaster, and [info]etben for looking it over.

Summary: "So tell me, Kara Thrace. Why is it so hard to let someone love you, once in a while?"

I went to the bookstore after class this morning for coffee, and there was, um, an accident. With the Bargain Books rack. (Also with the paperback romance rack.) And for some mysterious reason, when I left the bookstore with my coffee, a copy of Sandman: King of Dreams followed me out.

It was an accident, honest, that is my story and I am sticking to it.

One of the other things I got is a belated birthday gift for [info]zeenell. But I admit that there is absolutely no excuse for the other one.

I dyed my hair red a couple months ago. It was pretty. It made me immensely happy. It took twice as long to wash out as the box said it would, but I was no means complaining.

I went to Walgreen's today with the full intention of buying dye and doing it again, only to find that the product no longer seems to exist.

What I used was L'Oreal Color Pulse. It was a can of mousse, you rubbed it all into your hair, and half an hour later you rinsed it out again. It was easy and effective and cheap, and I haven't the foggiest idea why they discontinued the product, but I can't find it now.

So, point of this: Does anyone know a similarly cheap and/or effective and/or convenient temporary hair dye that comes in a nice scarlet color? Because I miss my red hair.

HALLO THAR FANNISH CHICAGO PEEPLEZ.

I plan to be at the Chicago Public Library pretty much all day tomorrow. I will be up in an alcove in the back of the seventh floor with my laptop and an astrobiology textbook, plotting to overthrow the ancient and respectable edifice that is Harlequin--

--oh, wait.

In any case, I will be up there having a quiet solitary sort of Fangirl Saturday, unless someone wants to come along and make it a quiet but less solitary event. Please?
