I'm 21 (or close enough), and I'm from Bethlehem, PA but live in South Chicago.

I'm not currently in school-- I work as a receptionist at a spa on weekends, and for Arrowsmith Shoes on occasion as well. I was a British History major and still love it, and hope to go back to school to study either that or Illustration. In the meantime I spend most of my life screwing around online. Like you do.
fandoms

I could go on all day listing the things I'm into and would be willing to write fic about; there are one or two dozen current shows alone that I follow. I've been active especially in Stargate: Atlantis and due South fandoms in the past; right now I'd say I'm most intersted in due South, Supernatural, Doctor Who and the Sarah Jane Adventures.

As a general rule: I like crime fiction that doesn't take itself too seriously, scifi/fantasy/horror with a good story, superheroes, robots who want to be human, well-done YA fiction, and believable romance between any combination of genders. In fact, it's extremely difficult to get me to genuinely dislike a movie, and if you recommend me a show or movie or book I'd probably love to try it out.

real life

On the occasions I venture away from the keyboard, I enjoy movie trailers and movie soundtracks, knitting, and shopping for furniture I can't afford. I'm trying to learn more about baseball and football. I think math and computers, and the history thereof, are pretty neat even though I'm not an expert on either. I ran cross-country in high school, and my dad plays bagpipes.

My journal isn't the most interesting thing ever, and I'll warn you I've got a bit of a short temper and a shorter attention span-- but if you're interested in anything here and want to drop in, go right ahead! I love meeting new people.
